Your Card,
painted by Vikkova.

VIKKOVA hand-paints a single iconic card onto canvas, then sets the physical card into the mount beneath it. One painting per card. The piece is finished and numbered.

What arrives

A painting and its card, in one frame.

The card does not go in a binder. It is mounted beneath the canvas that was painted from it, so the object on your wall carries both the artwork and the thing it came from.

Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat, hand-painted on canvas and framed above the graded card with an engraved brass plaque.

I

The canvas

Acrylic on stretched canvas, painted entirely by hand over several weeks. Standard sizes are 50 × 60 cm and 50 × 70 cm; larger formats are quoted individually.

II

Your card, mounted

The physical card — raw or slabbed — is set into the black mount directly below the painting, behind museum glass, recoverable without damage.

Don’t have the card? We can source it for you, or you can buy one directly from the VIKKOVA registry.

III

The brass plaque

Engraved with the title, the card it was painted from, the serial number, the year and the artist.

IV

The certificate

A numbered Certificate of Authenticity, signed and sealed, recorded in the VIKKOVA registry — with a QR code that resolves to that serial.

The register

Every piece, numbered in order.

The making

Weeks, not hours.

Every commission runs the same four stages. This is why the queue exists — only one canvas is on the easel at a time.

Stage 01

Drawn out

The card is redrawn to canvas scale in pencil. Composition, proportion and detail are resolved before a single drop of paint goes down.

Pencil underdrawing of Charizard mapped out on the blank canvas, the trading card open alongside for reference.
Stage 02

First paint

The largest masses of colour are laid first — ground, sky, the light the rest of the piece will be built against.

The background blocked in around the untouched pencil drawing, greens and earths laid down first.
Stage 03

Built up

Impasto by impasto, worked over successive sittings until the surface holds real texture and depth under gallery light.

Charizard worked up in detail — the open jaw, tongue and flame brought to finish with a fine brush.
Stage 04

Finished & numbered

Final highlights, varnish, signature. The serial is assigned, the certificate issued, the card set into the mount and the piece framed.

The completed piece framed above its original Base Set card, with the engraved brass plaque beneath.
Provenance

Numbered, signed, and on the register.

Every VIKKOVA leaves the studio with its own Certificate of Authenticity. The serial is recorded in the registry, so the painting can be identified and verified long after it has changed hands.

Upload a photo of the card you want painted and tell us a little about it. VIKKOVA reviews every submission personally before a commission is confirmed.
